metro

The metro is fast, cheap and void of the tech that could make it a real pleasure to use.

The first thing they need are wi-fi hot spots. Every airport has them, most hotels do and lets not forget Mc Donald’s. If Mc Donald’s can have wi-fi, there is no reason the nations capital can not. If its a cost thing charge for it. Tourist and daily riders alike would be willing to pay for the convince on connectivity.

2nd thing needed is live advertisement. By that I mean LCD, LED or OLED screens on the trains as well as well as the stops. They can be paid by the companies playing the ads. It would be like radio in traffic before the advent of XM & MP3’s. People would have no choice but to pay attention. That would be near 100% penetration. That is an an advertisers dream.

3rd thing is a want more than a need. When you think about it, it has nothing to do with technology other than we have the technology to do it. I want a Metro stop in Georgetown.
