Need to report abusive police? There’s an app for that. Abusive cops are not a new thing however as technology has advanced the tolerance for it has deteriorated. The American Civil Liberties Union has created an app that makes recording cops that are abusing their power very easier. The new app is called Mobile Justice California was created by the ACLU of California. The app records and report abusive police and send the footage directly to the ACLU’s office. The recordings are sent to the ACLU anonymously, although you have the option of giving your name, email and phone number so the ACLU can contact you for followup questions.

The app also has a checklist to make sure you don’t miss anything. The checklist will ask about the time, place, the actions of the cops as well as the person being abused in incident. We are not sure if the app is headed to other locations but it would be helpful if it did. The app is available to download for free the App Store and Google Play Store.
