If GoPro’s get any smaller they will have to partner with a phone company or make their own smartphone. In the quest to show that size really does matter GoPro Hero4 Session is 50% smaller and 40% lighter than the original Hero4. For the other side that says it’s what you do with the size that matters, The GoPro Hero4 Session maintains the image quality and performance of a regular GoPro. In fact the GoPro Hero4 Session can record 1080p60, 720p100 and 1440p30 video, as well as capturing 8-megapixel photos in Single, Burst and Time Lapse modes.
GoPro Hero4 Session also kept the SuperView, Protune and Auto Low Light recording modes. The Hero4 Session is controlled by only one button. However they have made it super simple to use. That one button can turn on the camera and begin recording automatically, start a Time Lapse photo capture it’s also your save button and off switch. Hero4 Session will be available to purchase from authorized retailers and GoPro.com for $400 starting on July 12th. Check out the video below:
