XBox Games Com

Sony has decided to skip Gamescom 2015 this year so Microsoft will have all the press. Below are some of the goodies that are coming to Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows 10 owners.

Did you miss the Xbox Gamsecom briefing? Well I would like to say you didn’t miss much. However, you did miss a lot. E3 is a good start but its not the only place to get the lowdown on upcoming games. Do people still say lowdown? Anyway, moving on, there is just no way that companies can fit all the products they are working on in one show. That is why we have more than one. This week the focus of the game world is in Cologne, Germany hosts Gamescom. It’s like the E3 of Europe. It is the largest gaming expo in all of Europe so you know companies came out to impress.

Microsoft got us started with the standard we are “we are happy to be here” and “look at all our exclusives.” This is standard fare. What games look for is the new hotness. What have we not seen or heard before in earlier shows. ie. E3 just a few months ago. We were not disappointed. Microsoft was in rare form debuting new games for the very first time that made us take notice.

We saw new footage of Crackdown and Quantum Break. We actually got a release date for Quantum Break. Here I thought it was going to continue to be vaporware.  Both of these games are Xbox One exclusives and neither one of them made it to E3. To call the Crackdown series fun is like calling the sun hot. By that I mean this game is crazy over the top exciting. The new edition for Xbox One brings 100% destructible environments. That means every single thing you see can be blown to bits. This takes the game to a new level when you consider what you can do with multiplayer. Speaking of, if you are a Xbox Preview Program you will be able to play the multiplayer beta before anyone else. Sony has decided to skip Gamescom 2015 this year so Microsoft will have all the press. Halo Wars 2 is coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 in Fall 2016. This Microsoft announcement came out of nowhere but it is a welcome surprise. The first game was fun enough. The folks at Creative Assembly are leading the development.
