avengers end game

It’s nearing the end of the year for me, which means I’m going to have some time off work.  And that means I’m going to spend some time watching movies.  But I also love watching trailers so I can get myself pumped up for what movies and television shows are coming out in the next few months.  For me, there’s something about the anticipation that makes me enjoy the movie even more.  And on that note, we’ve got some amazing trailers that you need to check out.

Avengers: Endgame

After a lot of waiting, and a ton of hype, Marvel has put out the first trailer for the final film in this era of the MCU.  The trailer is filled with a lot of emotional moments, but fans who were hoping for a glimpse at what actually happens will only find a couple of key reveals. Marvel is keeping most of the real details hidden away, so there should be plenty more to tease (or mislead us about) later on. The film comes out on April 26th.

Captain Marvel

This is another huge Marvel trailer for the week.  It’s the second trailer for Captain Marvel and it dives a bit more into the character’s past and the struggle she finds on earth.  She’s not just fighting aliens, but also trying to figure out where they came from.  This film comes out on March 8th and I for one, cannot wait.

The Innocent Man

Netflix has a big, new, true crime series coming out with a surprising name behind it – John Grisham.  Grisham is known for his crime and legal thrillers, but a decade ago, he wrote a non-fiction story about a man who was placed on death row after being wrongly convicted of murder.  What’s not a surprise is that Netflix is turning this book into a series.  What’s great is that you won’t’ have to wait too long for this one, as it debuts on December 14th.

The Standoff at Sparrow Creek

When I first watched this trailer, I thought it was a very quiet, tense thriller.  But that’s not all.  The Standoff at Sparrow Creek is about a militia of men who hole up in a lumber mill after realizing that one of their members seems to have been behind a mass shooting.  From there, interrogations begin as they try to figure out who did it.  This one is also coming out shortly – January 18th – so you won’t have to wait long.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale

It’s been just over a month since Netflix first debuted its sharp, and dark take on Sabrina, and it’s already returning for a one-off special.  This seems odd, doesn’t it?  I mean, isn’t it usually something like “7 seasons and a movie”?  But in this case, it’s one season and something like a movie.  That said, I’m definitely looking forward to this.  To start, it’s a great series, but I also like when systems are turned on their head – and this is one of those cases.  Sabrina debuts on December 14th.
