iOS 5.1.1 Jailbreak almost ready. It’s ok to upgrade now

Pod2g’s untethered jailbreak is just a few days away. He has even gone as far as to let everyone know that it is safe to upgrade to iOS 5.1.1. Although if you need to keep your baseband I’d still avoid it at the moment. Absinthe 2.0 and the new version of  Redsn0w won’t support iOS 5.1. That means you have to upgrade to 5.1.1 if you want the latest Jailbreak.  Just remember to backup your idevice before you upgrade. If your iDevice is already jailbroken, backup your SHSH blobs using TinyUmbrella and don’t upgrade until the new jailbreak is out in the while.

Pod2g tweeted:

Some facts about 5.1.1 jailbreak : http://t.co/Tk6Rrpow . You can safely upgrade to 5.1.1 now if you want to be ready. Huge warning as usual for unlockers that want to preserve their baseband to keep their unlock.

  5. I precisely desired to say thanks yet again. I am not sure what I might have done in the absence of the actual methods discussed by you about such a area of interest. This was the depressing concern in my view, but understanding a skilled avenue you handled it forced me to cry over joy. Now I’m happier for your help and even wish you know what a great job you’re doing educating people today through the use of your website. I am sure you haven’t come across all of us.
