Facebook just loves to do what it wants when it wants. They just removed and replaced everyone’s email address with a brand new @facebook.com email address. This is not the email Facebook uses for notifications and password resets. It is just the one everyone sees when they click your info. If you don’t feel like advertising extra for Facebook there is a fix. Here’s how to change your email back.
- Click “About” on your profile and scroll down to your email address. Click “Edit” to change them.
- Click on the circle next to your Facebook email address and change its setting to “Hidden From Timeline”.
- Click on the circle next to your other email addresses and change their settings to “Shown On Timeline”.
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the Edit popup (Don’t forget this step).
