Instagram-Download

Facebook paid $2 billion to buy Instagram. They did it to make money. Facebook never cared about your privacy before; why would they start now. That said, Facebook has responded to Instagram users after making changes to the service’s terms caused them all to go mad. You have all your pictures set to public? If you want to leave the service Instagram and take your pictures with you, this is how you do it.

1.) Download Instagram photos to your hard drive.

Go to Instaport. Signup, it is free.  It will archive your photos as a .zip file.

2.) Upload your archive to another service.

You should use OpenPhoto. It will sync your photos from Facebook, Instagram and Flickr to a DropBox, Box.com or Amazon S3 account.

3.) Delete your Instagram account.

ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DO THIS?!?! Once you have removed your profile, you won’t be able to reactivate your account and or your username is gone forever.
