Apple has released iOS 7.1.1 (build number: 11D201) for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. This update includes improvements, bug fixes and of course security updates. As always if you own a jailbroken device you should STAY AWAY from this update. Do not upgrade. Now that is out of the way, lets talk iOS 7.1.1 changes.

What is new this time around is:
  • Further improvements to Touch ID fingerprint recognition
  • Fixes a bug that could impact keyboard responsiveness
  • Fixes an issue when using Bluetooth keyboards with VoiceOver enabled
  • Warning to Jailbreakers, STAY AWAY!

If you want to update to iOS 7.1.1

If you don’t have a jailbroken device feel free to continue with the steps to update. To update your device to iOS 7.1.1 wirelessly or “over the air” as the tech set call it; simply go Settings app, navigate to General > Software Update, and install the update. Before you update MAKE backup of your device using iTunes or iCloud and make sure you have the power plugged in.
