Donald Trump is crying, like a toddler again, because he thinks that NBC is reporting “fake news”. This is ironic, right? I mean, he was the sole beneficiary of fake news during the 2016 Presidential Election, and now he has the nerve to accuse NBC of reporting fake news? This is getting old, fast. As part of this tantrum includes Trump suggesting that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) should take away their license because of said fake news. Or at least challenge the license. Trump tweeted, “With all of the Fake News coming out of NBC and the Networks, at what point is it appropriate to challenge their License? Bad for country!”
I don’t want to get too far away from this issue, but is Trump familiar with what constitutes a proper noun? And who is he to tell the FCC to take away a network’s operating license? Oh, that’s right, he just told the NFL that their players have to stand during the national anthem. But what’s hilarious is how the FCC Commissioner responded to his tweet. Jessica Rosenworcel offered an extremely brief response to Trump, stating “that’s not how it works”. She then linked to a manual that discusses the FCC’s regulation of broadcast radio and TV license.
But Donald Trump doesn’t care about the rules. Nor is he going to read the manual. He, like a child, is going to throw a tantrum until he gets what he wants. … Read the rest
Donald Trump definitely doesn’t have something that the rest of us do – and that’s empathy. Trump went on his normal tirade, Tweeting up a storm. This time, it was directed at the Mayor of San Juan Carmen Yulín Cruz. Why exactly? Well, Trump is saying that the relief effort has been successful, but that the people of Puerto Rico just “want everything done for them”. Did Trump see the pictures of the Mayor in chest deep water looking for people with a bullhorn? Doubtful. He was probably too busy golfing. Not only is this a ridiculous statement, it’s also racist. I understand that Florida and Texas are states, however, Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory. Which means that the people living there are U.S. citizens. Which makes you wonder why he’s not being more supportive of their need for assistance?
In addition to being racist, Trump is accusing the Mayor of being nasty. Stating that she must have been told by the Democrats to treat him that way. So now he’s paranoid? Trump had this to say about the Mayor:
“… Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help. They want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort.”
And good for Mayor Cruz, who defended herself against these attacks by saying “I don’t have time for distractions. … Read the rest
According to Politico, the NSA warned Jared Kushner, and a number of other senior White House officials to not use their personal emails for work purposes. We talked about this in a previous post, where I explained why using your personal email for work purposes is not a good thing. But despite this warning, Kushner and other staffers all continued to use their private emails.
The NSA’s issued this warning because they believed that “cyberspies could be using sophisticated malware to turn the personal cellphones of White House aides into clandestine listening devices, to take photos and video without the user’s knowledge and to transfer vast amounts of data via Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth.”
This is an interesting twist; don’t you think? Or am I reading too much into it? To me, it sounds like they’re worried about “someone” being able to use their phones to turn them into listening devices. Which sounds like something out of a political thriller, don’t you think? Further to that, the NSA told the officials to assume their phones were already compromised, as well as their personal computers and contact lists on such devices. This is all extremely hypocritical considering how much flack Donald Trump gave Hillary Clinton during the election, related to her use of private emails. The Senate Intelligence Committee also raised the concern that Kushner had failed to disclose his personal email amid their investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 elections.… Read the rest
