Affinity Photo is packed with a ton of high-end tools and features for creating, processing and retouching images. It’s all backed with a sleek and usable interface. Flare 2
Flare 2 is kind of sneaky. At first, it seems like a one-click iPhone filter app, but it’s got a twist. To start, it’s got some pretty great filters. But you can access the edit section, and suddenly there are a ton of sliders. You can fine tune everything, which means you can create every kind of custom photo effect imaginable. While I love the idea of this app, it might be a little pricey considering what you’re getting. You can download Flare 2 from the App Store for $9.99.
Comic Life 3
Comic Life 3 allows you to transform your pictures of family and friends into comic strips. I honestly find this one super appealing and cute. Get your words straight from the script editor, before adding photos, comic filters, speech balloons and sound effects. Kapow! While I did say that I love this app, I don’t know if it’s worth the price of $29.99.
Final Cut Pro
iMovie is comparable to an abacus when you put it next to the supercomputer that is Final Cut Pro. Fast and powerful, this is the app you want to use to edit your home movies. This might be overkill, but it’s still the holy grail of movie editing software. This one is super expensive, but it’s kind of worth it. Especially if you’re into creating (and editing) videos in any way. You can get Final Cut Pro from the App Store for $299.99.
DM1
