We’ve Got the Best XBox Games at Quite an Affordable Price! (Part 1)

Last week, we brought you a list of PlayStation games that were not only amazing and fun, they are also able to be purchased on the cheap.  That said, we didn’t forget about those of you who prefer Microsoft to Sony.  In the next two posts, we will bring you all of the best XBox One games that you can get for a good price, and also thoroughly enjoy at the same time.

Forza Motorsport 7

If you’re too serious of a driver for the Horizon series’ arcade-style racer, then Forza Motorsport 7 is more likely to satiate your thirst for a higher quality racing.  If you’re able to, pair this one up with a steering wheel and you’ll definitely feel like you’re in the cockpit of a Formula 1 car.  The game is quite realistic and adds effects like splashing water on the course.  Not only are the driving mechanics incredible, but this game has some of the best graphics in the industry.

Inside

This compact side-scroller finds you evading capture as a young boy, as you run through a remarkably creepy factory filled with freaky things. You’ll solve brainy puzzles throughout, and although it’s short (and thus, cheap too), Inside will really stick with you.

Doom

This isn’t the original Doom, but rather the 2016 reboot.  It keeps the essence of the original while still delivering a satisfying, modern-day shooting experience.  This game actually pays homage to the original game but offers more of a challenge.  In this version, the multiplayer isn’t essential, but the campaign is a lot of fun, which makes Doom a must for you to pick up or revisit.

Rocket League

Do you love football, but you’re tired of FIFA? If that’s the case, then you should try Rocket League instead.  It’s still football, but now you get to knock the ball around with some fast, and kind of insane cars.  In the game, you can zip around the pitch, drive up walls and even soar in the air.  It’s a bit ridiculous, but it’s still an incredibly fun game.  In fact, I would guess that you’ll be playing for hours.  In addition, there are basketball and hockey variants within the game.

Batman: Arkham Knight

The PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight was a bust, but the console version didn’t turn out the same way. Rocksteady’s superhero saga might have saved the best for last.  That is if this is their final game?  The game gives you control over Batman throughout a brilliantly realized open Gotham.  Whether you’re gliding, exploring on foot, or driving the new Batmobile, Arkham Knight is nothing short of exciting.

The Evil Within 2

If you’re looking for a horror game that will truly scare you, then The Evil Within 2 is what you’re looking for.  I would expect that you’ll be sleeping with the light on for a few days after playing this game.  Join Sebastian as he’s pulled through to a distorted VR world filled with supernatural horrors?  Yes, you can use your gun and other weapons to fight back, but that doesn’t make this game any less horrifying.  The plot itself is a bit cliched, but the creepy environments and sound design make this a really great game.
