It seems like every week there’s some rumor that those in the public eye are trying to deny, and what’s interesting is that this week’s rumor revolves around Kim Kardashian and Drake.  That rumor being that the two hooked up at some point.  Kim K, of course, denies this allegation as the internet is flooded with theories that she was Kiki from Drake’s song “In My Feelings”.  One person even took to Twitter and detailed why he believes that Drake has been telling us for months that he and Kim K hooked up.  But again, Kim denies the truth behind this.

While not evidence that anything happened, if you’ve ever watched the show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, you will know that one of Kim’s nicknames is actually Kiki.  Drake and the Kardashians/Jenners all live in the same neighborhood, which is referenced in his song “Can’t Take a Joke”.  And while that doesn’t necessarily prove that it happened, it does indicate that they would know each other.

What’s interesting is that Nick Cannon buys into this theory as well.  His reason is related to the fact that Pusha T and Drake have had a beef in the past, and Kanye’s label supports Pusha T.  But the whole thing is kind of weird, isn’t it?  Regardless of who believes it to be true, there has to be evidence, which we don’t have so far.

But what do we have?  We have a bunch of people close to the family denying the allegations, but no hard facts.  I guess what I’m trying to say is that in Hollywood, it seems that people deny these kinds of allegations all the time.  I mean, think about the whole Mariah Carey/Eminem situation a few years back.  She denied hooking up with him, and then he went on to write an entire song that detailed their relationship.

I’m not necessarily saying that it did or didn’t happen.  But I do think that Drake wouldn’t say that if it wasn’t true.  Not only that, but if it happened before she and Kanye got together, then what difference does it make?  There are worse people in the world that she could have hooked up with.  Nor do I really think it’s that big of a deal.

Nick Cannon went onto say that he thinks that Drake is holding something over the Kardashians’ heads, and that’s why they aren’t saying anything.  But let’s talk about Kim’s tweet in which she said “Never happened. End of story.”  If that were true, why tweet about it?  I think that when you’ve done something you shouldn’t have, or that you perceive as “wrong” you’re more likely to deny that it ever happened.

For example, if I accuse my boyfriend of having an affair with someone while on a business trip, his response is going to be reflective of whether or not something happened.  If something happened, he’s more likely to deny it in a grand way.  But if nothing happened, then he’s unlikely to get as upset and just assume I’m unstable.  If nothing happened between them, then why is Kim K even tweeting about it?  Just leave it alone and keep it moving.  That’s why I think there’s more to this story than we know.
