The DOJ approved Google’s $12.5 billion acquisition of Motorola Mobility awhile ago. Now, China’s Ministry of Commerce has done the same. The only thing they want though is that Android must remain open-source and freely available. So, Google will continue have a very fragmented OS on its hands. Google paid $12.5 billion for Motorola Mobility.
