This app only works for Facebook so if you are following them on Instagram, you might want to just unfollow them. The KillSwitch app will identify a your ex from your Facebook friends. Then it will find every photo and status update from that person. It will remove every picture and post from them. Don't worry they will never know you did this if you want to keep it on the low.
