Freedom to Jailbreak you iPhone is on its way. Unlocking your in the states was not totally legal even though we all did it. Some jailbreak for new tweaks but many more jailbreak so they can move their devices to a new phone carrier. Before T-Mobile worked out a deal with Apple, jailbreaking was the only way to an iPhone on the service. Soon you wont have to worry about the long arm of the law stopping you from enjoying the device you paid for on another provider. The cellphone unlocking bill made it through the House. President Barack Obama is sure to sign it to law soon as it hits his desk. said he’s looking forward to signing it into law.

The Library of Congress Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) gave phone owners an exemption to unlock their phones in 2006 but changed their minds in 2013. Right now if you want to unlock your phone you have to jump through some very serious hoops. Not to mention that unlocking a a phone without a carrier’s help could get you in trouble, and even jail, under current law. Last December, the major carriers and the FCC agreed to make life easier for phone subscribers to unlock their handsets.
