GoPro’s HERO4 is set to get a major update in February. The free update sent out by the company will ship teach the camera new tricks. The HERO4 Black is $499 because it has a faster CPU and can shoot high-res video at much higher frame rates. The HERO4 Silver is just $399. The software update will be different for both models.
Both models Get:
- Time Lapse Video —You can now save your time lapse as a video automatically.
- 30/6 Burst mode Snap 30 photos in six seconds.
- Auto-rotate: The camera will sense if it’s mounted upside down, and auto-rotate video accordingly.
Just for HERO4 Black:
- 240 FPS video recording at 720p for super slowmotion
- 60 FPS video recording at 2.7k
Just the HERO4 Silver:
- Mark highlights while recording by tapping the touch screen.
