Sam Smith owned the Grammy Awards on Sunday. He got four of them in total. He won for best new artist, song of the year and record of the year for his smash hit “Stay With Me.” Out of nowhere some guy named Beck surprised won album of the year for “Morning Phase.” That is how the night pretty much was. In a word surprising but not in a good way.

Biggest snub

Beyoncé’s no LP was nominated for Album of the Year but the breakout hit song “Drunk in Love” is missing from every important pop category. Some say it is because the Grammys only rewards artists who play by the rules and didn’t like that Beyoncé dropped the record on iTunes unexpectedly.

Kanye West is executive producing Rihanna’s next album.
We think so anyway. He let as much slip during an interview on the red carpet.
