Xbox One has been on a roll lately with its media content announcements. Continuing on that line. The movie service Epix is now on Xbox One. Epix specializes in movies, music concerts and comedy specials. The channel is backed by Paramount, Lionsgate, MGM and Viacom.  The app was already on the other systems so its not a new thing. The app is on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Roku, Android and iOS devices. The Epix app was first on Xbox 360 back in 2011. Epix promised the app would be on the Xbox One last year. It ended up everywhere else but the Xbox One. Xbox One owners will be able to live stream the four channels EPIX, EPIX 2, EPIX 3 and EPIX Drive In. They will also have access to its on demand service.

“We are excited to continue our relationship with Microsoft’s Xbox to deliver great programming how, when and where viewers want to see it. The launch of the EPIX app on Xbox 360 drew tremendous subscriber engagement and we are looking forward to extending our successful collaboration with the launch on Xbox One.” ~Mark Greenberg, EPIX President and CEO
