The Wisconsin Badgers beat the Kentucky Wildcats 71-64.  The score may seem like it was just a seven point win but the game was a lot closer. The NCAA Final Four Saturday night was a tough fight for Kentucky. This whole year they were tested and always came back after a few body shots in the second half. However this time they did survive the fight. Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker had no fear. They led the Badgers on  a charge each time Kentucky had any kind of run. Now they will move on to face Duke in the NCAA national championship.

The Bo Ryan coached team scored 8 straight points to take a 4-point lead with just over a minute left in the game. Kentucky had no answers for Kaminsky, the Associated Press Player of the Year,  who had 20 points. They had no answers for Dekker who finished the game with 16. They had no answers for the support man Hayes who had 12.. They were unable to overcome one last deficit. This game was not only revenge for Wisconsin who lost last year to Kentucky but it was also extra sweet since it ended Kentucky’s perfect season.

The attendance at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis to watch the game was 72,238 a record says NCAA. Next up for the Badgers are the Duke Blue Devils. The game will be played Monday on CBS at 8:18 Central time. Duke won its last two NCAA championship games, in 2010 and 1991. It looks to add more one more Monday.
