As of this posting Rovio is the only company that has confirmed that its app was in fact infected. Angry Birds 2 was infected with the  XcodeGhost Malware.

We all know that Android is filled with malware almost as bad as Windows 95 was back in the day. The saying has always been Macs don’t virus and iPhones don’t malware. Both of those statements are false. Mac can and do get virus. iPhones are not immune to the world of malware just because Apple keeps a tall walled garden up. Claims that approving apps keeps you safe are over rated. The AppStore ecosystem isn’t as safe as you 1st thought. Millions of iPhone and iPad users have been affected by a major App Store hack. The XcodeGhost Malware was just uncovered by Palo Alto networks.

Here’s the bad news: There are some very popular apps on this list, and the odds are pretty good that one or more of them are on your phone right now.

Apple has confirmed that the App Store suffered its first ever large-scale attack. They only did so after multiple security firms reported finding malware. Below is just a list of some of the apps that have been infected with malware. Expect more to come out in the next few days and weeks. If you have any of these apps installed. You should uninstall it until the developers confirm that the coast is clear.
