Could the Toronto Raptors really win the NBA Finals? The two major factors into deciding what happens with this series are the Golden State Warriors’ injuries and the Toronto Raptors’ shooting abilities. While the Warriors are trying to win their third straight title with a depleted group of banged-up superstars, the Raptors’ shooting numbers have toggled between incredible and awful. The Warrior’s injuries are forcing the team into lineups that have hardly played against anyone before, let alone the best team from the Eastern Conference.

Politics

Speaker Nancy Pelosi has told senior Democrats that she would like to see President Donald Trump “in prison”. Pelosi met with House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler and several other top Democrats who are agressively pursuing investigations against the president. Nadler and other committee leaders have been embroiled in a behind-the-scenes turf battle for weeks over ownership of the Democrats’ sprawling investigation into Trump. Nadler pressed Pelosi to allow his committee to launch an impeachment inquiry against Trump — the second such request he’s made in recent weeks only to be rebuffed by the California Democrat and other senior leaders. Pelosi stood firm, reiterating that she isn’t open to the idea of impeaching Trump at this time. Pelosi is looking at this from the perspective that she might not be able to win the battle, but that may not be her personal views on the topic.

DC Universe has canceled the show “Swamp Thing” after a single season. This news comes after only one episode of the season has aired and it continues to fuel questions over what role this new DC Universe streaming platform will play in the larger plans for WarnerMedia. And if you hadn’t heard, WarnerMedia will be launching its own streaming service in late 2019. Swamp Thing is a one-hour drama series that follows CDC researcher Abby Arcane as she returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana and investigates a deadly swamp-bourne virus. She develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland, only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby discovers that the swamp holds mystical secrets, and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all.
