The Syfy Channel app for the iPhone was junk. I love Syfy but it is what it is. Seems they have been taking note of users disappointment. The recently launched app called SyFy Now, looks to go the route of HBOgo and WatchESPN. You can watch SyFy Channel shows a day after they air on the network. You can event add bookmarks that will sync across devices with iCloud. The old app which was junk still is junk but has a new name; Syfy Sync. Think of Syfy Sync as a second screen option like Microsoft’s Smart Glass. If you have the following servers enjoy. All others will have to wait.  Services supported at launch are Armstrong, AT&T U-Verse, Cablevision’s Optimum TV service, Charter, Comcast’s Xfinity TV, DISH, Mediacom, Suddenlink, Verizon FiOS, and Wide Open West (WOW).

Sorry Android fans, your Syfy’s app for Android isn’t updated. That means no full episodes for you. However, the press release promises next month you will  have your SyFy Now. So there is still hope you can watch Sharknado while on a boat. Wait, SyFy Now does not stream movies? Well, never mind.
