Twitter’s Periscope live-streaming video app came saw and obliterated Meerkat. That may sound like an overstatement but it really is not. While Meerkat had a pretty impressive début it was not match for the in-house built Periscope. Everyone just assumed that the app would be dead in very short order. However, Meerkat is not going down that easy without a fight. The personal mobile streaming video app has headed to the Android platform.

The app is in beta right now and if you want to give it a try If just fill in the Google form to request access. Meerkat hopes to have a bigger impact on the Android platform than it did on iOS. Again, it has first crack at another platform. Wonder what will happen when Periscope migrates to Android as well.
