Periscope had a coming out party with the Mayweather–Pacquiao fight. Now you can sign up for a user account without the need for a Twitter name. That means you can use your own profile picture from your Camera Roll. The update also lets you reply to comments during broadcast a lot simpler. Too bad the update has not made the app Apple Watch friendly yet. Also note that if you ban someone a notice will show up on the comments section so everyone will know. Periscope implemented Twitter’s Digits. Twitter’s Digits uses your phone number instead of passwords. Not sure if I feel that is any safer.
