The is over. Serial one if not the biggest in podcast in history is out. Season 2 will hopefully be just as good if not better. It has almost been a year after since the first season ended. Sarah Koenig and her researchers are back for round two. This time around, season two will focus on Bowe Bergdahl. He is a U.S. soldier who was held captive in Afghanistan for nearly five years.
“This story—it spins out in so many unexpected directions,” writes Koenig. “Because, yes, it’s about Bowe Bergdahl and about one strange decision he made, to leave his post. […] But it’s also about all of the people affected by that decision, and the choices they made. Unlike our story in Season One, this one extends far out into the world.”
Since the first season did so we, Koenig and her team will communicate with listeners via social media throughout all of Season Two. On top of that there will be 3D maps and graphics and videos of events to add more of a visual element to the podcast. and help listeners understand context within the story.
