Verizon posted their first iPhone teaser commercial to their YouTube page. Called it “It begins.” Apple is ready to join in with its own marketing. But instead of mentioning Verizon iPhone as the better choice for making calls. They just hit the fact that it’s now on two networks. “Two is better than one.”
In this commercial there are two iPhone 4′s side-by-side. As Strauss’ Blue Danube Waltz plays, the dueling iPhones perform the same tasks at the same time via a split screen. There was even a side-by-side FaceTime conversation. (via clear wi-fi I’m sure) Both AT&T and Verizon logos are used.
AT&T is still a vital partner for the device, Apple can’t afford to alienate them by putting out Verizon iPhone-only commercials.
Apple claims although the device are on different networks they are the same, you just have a choice now. That’s not true, the Verizon iPhone won’t be able to do talking & surfing at the same time. The Verizon version al so costs $50 more when purchased at the full retail price.
