A little disclosure, I didn’t think the Bears had a chance to win. Even before the game started I had written them off. I said it would be Packers VS. Steelers in the Superbowl. My twitter feed @Saintel can back me up. I’d be wrong though. Bears came pretty close.
Nobody knows the human body like the person living in it. But that hasn’t stopped everyone from having an opinion on whether Jay Cutler should have sat out or played the second half of the NFC championship game on Sunday.
With the Bears down 14-0, Cutler said he could not finish the game after injuring his knee. He said after the game that he was unable to plant and throw. It did not look like he was even trying to work on his knee. He was just sitting on a bench not talking to his teammates.
We found out the character the Bears Three quarterbacks yesterday. Todd Collins and Caleb Hanie. Todd tried but could not get it done. Hanie was very good for a guy that basically got thrown to the wolves.
ESPN analyst Trent Dilfer said “I don’t question Cutler’s toughness, he’s one of the toughest guys on our football team.” Well after seeing the greats like Joe Montana and Iron Man Brett Favre play though it all, pain and sickness. Cutler lost the respect of a lot of people.
