That is right starting on Aug. 31, every major DC Comic will be going back to issue #1. All costumes and backstories will be changed. That is 52 first different comics. So pretty much the DC as we know it will not be the same ever again. Justice League issue 1 will get things started. It will be written by Geoff Johns and bestselling artist and DC Comics Co-Publisher Jim Lee. DC Comics will be the first of the two major American publishers to release all of its superhero comic book titles digitally the same day as in print.

Releasing each comic digitally on the same day it’s released in print is a smart move since almost everyone is moving towards or thinking about a tablet. So making comics more available through that medium was the right move. That being said I would have liked this change to take place in an alternate universe. These changes are not kind to long standing fans. To them it will seem DC has gone out of their way to alienate them.
