Meg Whitman the new CEO of HP said that the company’s plans to kill off its webOS operating system, possibly spin off its PC business and purchase Autonomy are not going to change.

Whitman said “It does not signal a change in the strategy. We are behind the actions that were taken on Aug. 18. We are firmly committed to Autonomy.”

Analysts all think that Whitman is not the driving force HP needs but it is better than the last guy they had. That being said, one wonders will HP ever get back to the where it was before all this negative press came along.  Meg has a worked at eBay. That is a different market space than HP is in. That is why people concerned that she is not what is needed.
