Apple has released a new holiday commercial called “Misunderstood” which seems just to show just what happens with all my cousins and little siblings. It shows a disconnected young boy playing on his phone the whole time while his family enjoys the holidays. As his family celebrates the holidays without him he continues to be lost in his iPhone. However in the near end of the video you find out that the boy was really taking video and editing it on iMovie.

As you can see it pulls are the heartstrings the way only Apple advertising can. The ad places the Apple iPhone at the center of people’s lives yet shows how it helps them not distract them from living it.  The commercial called Misunderstood on YouTube is also called “A Harris family holiday”, and was filmed entirely on an iPhone 5s.
