EA Sports has had Tiger Woods on the cover of it’s games for 15 years. They stood by him when he had all his issues. They stood by him when he was no longer a winner. However, it seems that Tiger as a cover athlete of it’s PGA Tour franchise is now over.
Vice President and General Manager of Golf Daryl Holt said on the company’s blog that the split was a mutual decision and wished Woods continued success.
EA Sports seems to be dropping cover athletes left and right. They are doing the same thing with the NCAA College Football line of games. Even without Tiger on the cover, EA is moving forward with making PGA-licensed game.
