Yesterday BMW showed off its self parking car. Google is the house hold name for self driving cars but there is a new player in the field. The F 015 Luxury in Motion is a electric car that drives itself around. The car is a concept from Mercedes-Benz. The car is super high tech to say the least. The car has six high-resolution touchscreen display panels placed on the doors. Passengers can use touch, gestures and eye movements to see outside the car. The car uses an electric motor and hydrogen fuel cells. The Mercedes-Benz F 015 is made of carbon-fiber, aluminum and steel.
The Mercedes-Benz F 015 is very big car. It is 17 feet in length and 5 feet tall. The Mercedes-Benz sits on 26-inch wheels that are placed in such a way to maximize space inside. Passengers can rotate their seats in a full 30 degrees when the doors are opened. One of the many cool things about this seats are that it can rotate to let passengers have face to face conversation. This is possible because the Mercedes-Benz F 015 can drive it’s self around while you relax.
