The X-Files is coming back because you believed. The rumors are over. Fox has confirmed that it’s bringing The X-Files back to TV. The show is getting the “24” treatment. Fox had brought back 24 for a six-episode event series. They are doing the same thing this summer with X-Files. I know you wanted a full-on relaunch but this is better than nothing. I mean the last movie was not that good so maybe this is the best outcome. Chris Carter, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will be back in their respective roles.

The paranormal investigators Fox Mulder and Dana Scully will back chasing things that go bump in the night. It took 13-years to bring the show back so lets hope that it is as good as the original run. It would suck if the show comes back only to not live up to the hype. I’m looking at you Jericho.

“We had the privilege of working with Chris on all nine seasons of The X-Files – one of the most rewarding creative experiences of our careers. The X-Files was not only a seminal show for both the studio and the network, it was a worldwide phenomenon that shaped pop culture – yet remained a true gem for the legions of fans who embraced it from the beginning.” ~Fox TV Group chairmen Dana Walden and Gary Newman
