IMAX laser projection + Furious 7 = Epicness. MAX laser projection technology is not new but it is new for the states. IMAX is using Furious 7 for its coming out party to the US. The tech was first installed in a Toronto theatre in December. It’s the perfect début movie. Who does not want to see super-sharp expensive car chases? Now the bad news. To see this new wonder of epicness, you will have to head over to TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles. It’s the only cinema in the US that supports the technology. We can only that IMAX installs it in other locations soon.
IMAX laser projection works by combing two laser projectors and proprietary technology. They also install an upgraded sound system. This technology is only for locations with screens bigger than 75 feet. This new tech lets the Chinese Theatre screens up to 96 feet. That is an upgrade from a max of 86 feet.
