Game of Thrones Leak Means Spoilers Are On The Way. Well that didn’t take too long. Season five has not even premiered on HBO yet but copies of the next four episodes are already in the wild wild west that is the internet. As of 9:00 a.m. the episodes had been downloaded nearly 780,000 times. The leaks have originate from a review screener given to the press. Thanks a lot for that whoever you are (said sarcastically). It will be hard to avoid any spoilers but this guy will try. Besides the leaked episodes are in 480p, which is equivalent to the quality of standard TV. When the show actually airs on HBO it is in 720p or 1080p. The show will air premiere simultaneously in many countries through HBO Now. I’ll be watching in HD through legit means tonight and will try to stay spoiler-free.
HBO must be very upset at this point. They were trying to launch their standalone streaming service, HBO Now, at the same time as the premiere of Game of Thrones. However, HBO Now subscribers are going to be behind the pirates by a month. How can you make it without hearing about any spoilers for the next four weeks? I recommend they go Netflix style and release all of the leaked episodes at once to catch everyone up but only to subscribers of HBO Now. That might not even help as the leaker noted the fourth episode would be the final upload for now but more may be coming. Should be one of those that can not keep away from the torrents KAT has a lot of seeders.
