We are not fans of Kickstarter or the like because we have been burned before. However, Znaps seems to be very promising. That said even though Znaps said they have done all their due diligence on checking to make sure that no patent rights are violated. Apple may snuff out the product before it hits markets. The problem is the magsafe is reversible. Apple uses those same words in its patent for the Magsafe. So a similarly reversible magnetic cable would off the bat violate Apple’s patent.
