VA shotting

“We believe it was a disgruntled employee who fired at the TV crew,” Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe told local media.

First I would to say that it is just sad the evil of the hearts of man sometimes. There are few times when a station has report on the lost of their own. WDBJ7 confirmed the deaths of the reporter, 24-year-old Alison Parker, and the photographer, 27-year-old Adam Ward. Ward’s poor fiancée was in the control room and saw the shooting live as it happened.  The shooter 41-year-old Vester Lee Flanagan who himself is a former employee of the station. He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Franklin County police. Vester Lee Flanagan who previously went by the name of Bryce Williams abandoned his car near the Roanoke airport. The woman being interviewed, Vicki Gardner, executive director of the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce, was shot in the back and is in surgery.
