First off: There are spoilers in this post. Are you sure you want to read on? Ok… you were warned. The Gilmore Girls show is a cult classic. It is still heavily watched in syndication by millions that have already watched it from the first episode to the last. For sixteen years Gilmore Girls have delivered on the promise heartwarming, funny and witty content. The shows creator Amy Sherman-Palladino could not have guessed that her work would become such an iconic show. A show that personally used to model the way I communicate with my daughter. The show finally came back in the form of Netflix’s mini-series revival Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. The Netflix show fed those fans that have craved for more Gilmore Girls but the series didn’t seem like it was a real finale. I guess fans were not the only ones that felt there could have been more.

“We obviously loved the success of the show, fans loved how well it was done, it delivered what they hoped. The worst thing is to wait a couple of years for your favorite show to come back and for it to disappoint you, but they sure delivered and people were really excited about more, and we have been talking to them about the possibility of that.” ~Ted Sarandos CCO of Netflix

The Netflix series was such a success that is no way the they would not be thinking of doing another one. However before you get super excited nothing is confirmed yet. Netflix is in “very preliminary” talks with the show’s creators about a sequel. Sherman-Palladino is ready to do another one. Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel both got paid $750,000 per episode of the revival so they should be motivated as well. Netflix’s motivation is that each episode averaged 5 million viewers in wide range aged groups. I for one can not wait and I am sure my neighbors can’t either.
