Microsoft has applied to patent a magnetic power plug. The power-only MagSafe should be interesting. The plug works like very much like the Apple plug that is used for their laptop. I’m thinking that it would snap onto phone and offer data and power at the same time. The only problem I see is that this plug does not seem to be a micro or miniUSB port. This is a an application not a final product. We will see if this come out and when it does. What will Apple have to say about something so similar to what they already have on the market. We already see how hard they go after Samsung.
