sundayticket

Seems that Sunday Ticket is a hot ticket. DirecTV’s rights to the service is coming to an end. That means it is up for grabs to other companies. Media companies that are going head on for the prize have ranged from the usual suspects to giants of tech. Sony wanted it for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft might have some form of it for Xbox One. Now Google is rumored to be in the fight for the NFL. AllThingsD is saying that league officials met with the internet giant. A topic that was on the list was Sunday Ticket. What if Google had a package of rights to air all of the league’s games to out of market viewers came up?  DirecTV had been paying $1 billion for Sunday Ticket. Tech companies are paying that for an app. Also Google’s YouTube has experionce in streaming live sports. We will have an answer to this question for some time. As 2014 is right around the corner.
