The Sprint launch of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S on their network brought record sales on the 1st day. Fared Adib, Sprint Product Chief had the following to say:
Sprint today reported its best ever day of sales in retail, web and telesales for a device family in Sprint history with the launch of iPhone 4S and iPhone 4. We reached this milestone at approximately noon CT/1pm ET. The response to this device by current and new customers has surpassed our expectations and validates our customers’ desire for a truly unlimited data pricing plan.
Although Sprint has unlimited data, speed is an issue. The network is not as fast as AT&T but when AT&T and Verizon folks run out of data Sprint customers will keep on downloading.
i switched from att to sprint.. the speed is pathetic. cant even use siri, or anything really.. .3mbps download. on sprint. I would avg 5 mbps on att. i didnt expect it to be any where near as fast, but it is not even at 1mbps. the sprint employee told me that it is avg 600kbps… I would get 1mbps EASY on my evo net card back in 2003? this is clearly not 3g speeds, nor “prem data” .switching back to att tomorrow.
I can take a little slower speeds with unlimited data. I plan to get one as soon as I’m eligible under my contract. A little too expensive to try to do without the discount. Love the blog by the way!! Keep the post coming!
