What if the asteroid that wiped out dinosaurs 65 million years ago missed Earth? And what if humans and dinosaurs evolved along side each other?

Pixar takes CGI to the next level with The Good Dinosaur. We know they have great stories that tug at our heart-strings. However they are first and foremost an animation studio. The company that Steve Jobs built is at it again. They already made one of the best movies ever. Inside Out was one of the studio’s best display of story and visuals since Toy Story. They hope to replicate that formula come November 25, with The Good Dinosaur. Pixar’s photorealistic CGI in the trailer looks phenomenal. If they do that for a whole film. It will soon become difficult to decide what category to put these films in. Pixar based the environments in the film on real locations from around the world. With great visuals something has to give. It seems it maybe the acting. Rumor has it that the movie is very low on speaking parts. However a trade of dialog for incredible visuals maybe worth it in the end. Besides how much talking could a dinosaur and human do anyway. The movie ask and answers a simple question. What if the asteroid that wiped out dinosaurs 65 million years ago missed Earth? And what if humans and dinosaurs evolved along side each other?

The main focus of the movie is not the human but rather a Apatosaurus named Arlo who’s separated from his family.  Arlo befriends a young human named Spot. You can tell where the story goes from there. He protects and cares for the human as other dinos try to have the boy for a snack. It’s a typical Pixar boy and his pet adventure with a great lesson learned along the way lore. However this time the human appears to be the pet. Check out the first trailer below.
