Jason Torchinsky from Jalopnik answered the question that should be on your mind if you live on the east coast, especially today. Do I need winter tires? Bridgestone and Tire Rack held an event to show what the difference between all-season and winter tires really are. They setup two bikes with car tires on them to help answer the question. One bike had All Season tires and the other one had Winter tires. You can clearly see contrast in traction and stopping power right away. Spoiler alert. You need winter tires.
