Sony Online Entertainment says my bad. Sony Online Entertainment had told us “to the best of our knowledge, no customer personal information got out to any unauthorized person or persons” however today it suspended its games and services, including its websites and Facebook titles.
Now they are singing a new tune. “In the course of our investigation into the intrusion into our systems we have discovered an issue that warrants enough concern for us to take the service down effective immediately.” They said it will be down just temporarily. Then again we all assumed that PlayStation Network would only be down temporary. It is yet to be back up.
SOE said they would give us an update later today. We will see what happens.
Sigh. All my fears coming to life. *looks over shoulder for zombies*
