In July, Netflix has a ton of new and original content for your viewing pleasure. That’s in addition to all of the content coming to the platform, but we are only going to focus on original content in today’s post. While this list might seem a bit premature, July is just around the corner.
The Comedy Lineup
Structurally, I really like how this show is laid out. 8 Comedians. 15-minute sets. 1 Lineup. You can watch Michelle Buteau, Ian Karmel, Taylor Tomlinson, Sam Jay, Phil Wang, Sabrina Jalees, Jak Knight, and Tim Dillon on The Comedy Lineup. But if comedy isn’t your thing, then, well, there’s no hope for you.
Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee: Freshly Brewed
If you haven’t seen the original, you definitely need to check that out. But you also need to check out “freshly brewed” as well. Sure, I don’t always laugh at all the jokes, but I always, and I mean always – laugh at Jerry Seinfeld’s laugh. There’s something so visceral about how he laughs, and it seems like anything can make him laugh. They’ve got an excellent lineup of comedians for this season, so I am very much looking forward to watching this one when it comes out in July.
Anne with an E: Season 2
If comedy isn’t your thing, maybe you’ll want to check out the second season of this Anne of Green Gables show. It’s heartwarming and brings to life the works of Lucy Maud Montgomery. Who knew Canadian TV could be this good?
How It Ends
Just so you don’t think I’m comedy obsessed, I’ve thrown this one into the mix. How it Ends is about a mysterious apocalypse which causes the spread of misinformation and violence. The lead character and his estranged father-in-law race across a chaotic and fractured country in order to save his pregnant wife. This definitely looks like something that I might watch on a rainy Saturday, so I’m not going to cut it out completely.
But there is so much more coming to Netflix in July. I honestly don’t know how they do it. There is just so much content all the time. But not only that, they also get the rights to all of these other great shows. Regardless, here is a list of the other original content, or Netflix original movies:
