Best Buy has always been the place to go for the new tech. Although now a days people go window shop and then buy online. However, of late Best Buy has really embraced the bleeding edge technology. They have the Pebble and now rumor has it they will have Google Glass. Google Glass headset in traditional retail outlets should be interesting. How comfortable will the public be playing the device. This rumor comes from Robert Scoble who has been known before to be on point with his insider information.  We wrote the rumor on his Google+ account this week.

“Google is renting 6,000 square feet inside every Best Buy next  year”

That means Google would be able to show off Google Glass to consumers all over America in a traditional retail outlet. One would assume that Google has plans with other retail places around the world in key markets as well. Having dedicated spaces within Best Buy is not what it use to be. Back in the day Apple was the only one that had a presence. Now Samsung and Microsoft have their own mini store in Best Buy locations.
