The Weather Channel tried to fight it out with DirecTV for as long as it could. However once DirecTV signed a multiyear deal with WeatherNation things changed. The standoff between DirecTV and The Weather Channel is over. Not only is it over but we also have a clear winner. The Weather Channel dropped out of service on the DirecTV months ago. Everyone by now checks the weather on their phones or the internet but there are a few people left that want the channel.

For those people The Weather Channel is back along with an apology from David Kenny, the CEO if The Weather Channel. They also promised to cut all the reality TV programming by half on weekdays. DirecTV subscribers will aso be able to stream The Weather Channel’s to other devices even while away from home.
