If it works for CES why can’t it work for E3? That is the question the Entertainment Software Association must have asked itself when it came with the plan to let customers come to this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. E3 is the biggest video game trade show in the world. Every single game company and related industry insiders come to the event. Customers have always been on the outside looking in but this year that will change. By allowing consumers to attend this year the company rake in the cash and expand its social media presence. I mean the more eyeballs you have streaming and posting the better. They will have passes for 15,000 consumer. If you want to go to the expo and you should if you like games; will be available for purchases on Monday, February 13th.

“The feedback we heard was clear–they wanted to play the games inside the convention center. In addition, exhibitors inside the convention center wanted to have access to the fans. So this year we’re bringing the two together,” ESA’s senior VP of communications, Rich Taylor

Now for the bad news depending how you look at it. The passes will be priced between $250 and $150. However to get that $150 price you have to get it at as early bird special. Meaning if you don’t get it on February 13th you are out of luck for that price. The tickets will give you access to the show floor, panel discussions. The tickets are good for Tuesday through Thursday of E3 week. This will be the first time E3 has been open to the public but if all goes well it won’t be the last. How cool will it be to attend E3 and play unreleased games?
