iphone 8

If you are like me, then you’re planning to upgrade your iPhone this fall.   If you are also like me, you are probably trying to find a way to save some cash while doing it.  Everyone wants the latest and greatest technology, but it can be difficult to shell out that much cash every year or two.  Which means, you’ll want to keep reading to find out about all the best deals and trade-in options for upgrading to the iPhone 8 or 8 Plus.  These deals are only available in the United States, so international friends, you can’t get in on these deals, unfortunately.

Apple has a trade-in program that isn’t very well known, but it usually offers you some pretty big rewards.  Right now, Apple (through a third party partner) is offering you the following:

  • $425 for your iPhone 7 Plus
  • $375 for an iPhone 7
  • $260 for an iPhone 6s Plus
  • $215 for an iPhone 6s

These offers tend to be about $100 (or more) than some competitors or the carriers are offering.  If you want this deal you will have to act fast, as it expires next week.  But you can opt to receive the credit as an Apple Store gift card if you do an online trade in.  Which will give you the money towards the device, later in the year.

Sam’s Club

Sam’s Club is offering a deal by giving away $100 Sam’s Club gift card in addition to either $20 off AppleCare or an extra $10 Sam’s Club gift card if you purchase a SquareTrade protection plan.  Keep in mind that there’s no trade-in requirement here, so you could get this deal along with netting some cash by selling your current device.

Target will be giving customers up to $200 for eligible trade-ins along with up to $120 in Target eGift cards.  Which kind of sounds like they really want your business, don’t you think?

AT&T is offering a few different deals.  First, the company is doing a $300 credit with an iPhone 7 Plus trade in, and up to $200 on other iPhone models.  In addition to this, AT&T is offering 40% off Beats Solo3 Wireless, Powerbeats3 Wireless and BeatsX headphones with an iPhone or iPad purchase until November 2nd.  You will also find 20% off when you buy three or more accessories and 25% off select AT&T traded accessories.

Sprint made the announcement this past week that they are focusing on its leasing option with a 50% off the Sprint Flex Plan with an eligible trade in and new line of service.  This lets you only pay for nine months of an 18 month lease.  Or if you look at it monthly, you are only paying $14.58/month for the 64GB iPhone 8, instead of $29.17. If you order online or by phone, Sprint is waiving the activation fee, saving you another $30.  As for plans, Sprint is offering its introductory $90 for five unlimited lines deal until October 31st, with prices jumping after the first year of service.

T-Mobile is offering $300 off an iPhone 8 with an eligible trade in.  The $300 comes in the form of 24 monthly credits, which means you have to purchase the phone on T-Mobile’s installment plan.
